Delta

Delta Chapter was the first chapter to be chartered outside of the United States and the first chapter to be chartered in what would become the Midwest Region.

During a trip to Toronto in 1908, Jewel Eugene Kinckle Jones met a number of students whom we felt would be good candidates for membership into the fraternity. After some discussion, eight men were initiated into Alpha, making it is the 4^th Chapter of the fraternity.  Among the charters of Delta Chapter are: Brothers Robert MacNasseh Mahlangeni, Keith Myrie Benoit Simon, John Augustus Cottam. Ferdinand Lee Barnett Jr., Wilmot Amos Burgess, Jousha Need and Theodore Maseza Kakaza.

The chapter survived for a number of years until it was moved to Houston-Tilliston College in Austin, Texas in 1938.
