Xi Lambda

Xi Lambda was chartered to expand the influence of the fraternity in Chicago. Chartered in 1924 by 22 Brothers, including Jewel Henry Arthur Callis and Past General President Roscoe C. Giles, Xi Lambda quickly became an influential force in Chicago and the overall fraternity.

Xi Lambda, along with Theta Chapter, was instrumental in providing the fraternity with its first National Headquarters, which it helped to maintain until 1989. In 2007, Xi Lambda purchased and moved into a 5,000 square foot facility.

Since that time, Xi Lambda has been a heavily decorated chapter winning district and regional awards, along with a number of community awards and appreciations. In 2025, Xi Lambda was recognized as Outstanding Alumni Chapter of the Year at the 98th General Convention. Xi Lambda’s commitment to service and advocacy has never been stronger.
