Epsilon Eta

Eastern Michigan University

About the Chapter

During the 1950’s, Alpha men on campus at Eastern Michigan University pledged into the fraternity through the Epsilon Chapter at the University of Michigan. By 1959, they had the required number of Alpha Men on campus to apply for a charter. From its birth, Epsilon Eta Chapter became active with campus activities. They participated in the intramural sports programs and sponsored several off campus activities. Because of the small number of African American students on campus, they were close-knit and supportive in their relationships regardless of non-Greek or Greek affiliation.

After a five year absence, Epsilon Eta was reactivated in Fall 2025 with the initiation of 10 brothers in the line R.E.B.I.R.T.H. The chapter got off to a strong start by earning the Charles H. Wesley Brotherhood Award in cooperation with Epsilon and Theta Zeta Lambda chapters. The chapter continues to support the campus and local community through programs like the Thanksgiving meal deliveries and the MLK Ceremonial Wreath Laying and March to Freedom.
