Epsilon Phi

Northern Illinois University

About the Chapter

Epsilon Phi was chartered on the campus of Northern Illinois University on May 5, 1964, becoming the first Divine Nine fraternity established at NIU. From the beginning, the chapter has served as a foundation for leadership, scholarship, and service, setting a standard that continues to influence campus life today.

Throughout its history, the brothers of Epsilon Phi have maintained a strong presence across campus. Many members, past and present, have held leadership roles within student organizations, councils, and initiatives that shape the NIU experience. Beyond Alpha, Epsilon Phi has helped bring influential organizations to NIU, including the NAACP, Liberated Mind Organization and NBC. These contributions have expanded opportunity, advocacy, and representation on campus.

Epsilon Phi invests in people, and those it invests in turn to gold. Its legacy is defined by excellence, leadership, and lasting impact. This tradition continues with every generation.
