Eta Nu Lambda
About the Chapter
Eta Nu Lambda was chartered March 25, 1960 by nine distinguished Alpha men. Being the third Alumni Chapter in the state of Michigan, originally the chapter was known as the West Michigan chapter, being composed of brothers from Grand Rapids, Muskegon, Kalamazoo, Battle Creek, and Jackson. In the early 1960s, members of this chapter were instrumental in combating housing discrimination through the development of the Auburn Hills neighborhood on the northeast side of Grand Rapids.
Since the 1960’s, the Eta Nu Lambda Chapter has been busy with the work of Alpha. The chapter assisted with chartering the three collegiate chapters of West Michigan and hosted Michigan District Conferences. Alpha men from the chapter have held numerous notable positions within government and community leadership. The chapter provides annual scholarship opportunities through the Plummer, Letts, Parks Leadership Fund, and continue to support the community through service and advocacy.
