Eta Pi
University of Wisconsin - Oshkosk
About the Chapter
Eta Pi was chartered on June 17, 1971 on the campus of the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh. Over time, the chapter’s activity faded, with no new members for many years. In late 2022, five UWO students were initiated, marking a revival of the chapter after nearly two decades.
The 2022 probate to bring in the new members was celebrated with a formal induction ceremony, with strong attendance by members of Alpha Phi Alpha from neighboring states, signaling renewed energy around the chapter on campus. The reactivation of Eta Pi provided an opportunity for leadership development, community service, brotherhood, and academic excellence on the UWO campus—aligning with the historic mission of Alpha Phi Alpha. The chapter got off to a strong start, winning six awards at the 2023 UWO All Greek Awards Ceremony, including Fraternity Member of the Year, the Founders Award, Staff Advisor of the Year, Chapter of Excellence, Excellence in Civic Engagement, and Highest Chapter GPA.
