About the Chapter

Gamma Rho Chapter was established at Purdue University on April 24, 1948 by the following charter members: James C. Butler, Chester L. French, Raymond L. Hall, Milton B. Kendrick, John E. Littman, William N. Lovelace, Jimmie Mosley John E. Rudder, Richard Wallace, Walter H. White and George A. Younger. Since its founding, Gamma Rho boasts a rich legacy of producing successful men and has maintained the fraternity’s tradition of excellence in manly deeds, scholarship, and love for all mankind. Gamma Rho Chapter has a rich tradition of leadership development, brotherhood and academic excellence while providing service and advocacy for our communities. The distinguished alumni of Gamma Rho Chapter are represented as executives and leaders in corporate, education, government and non-profit sectors. Affectionately known for the mantra “Gamma Rho for Life,” the Brothers continue the rich tradition of community uplift and empowerment.
