Iota Rho Lambda

Chartered on September 2, 1970, Iota Rho Lambda was born from vision, fellowship, and purpose. The framework was first conceived around the dining room table of Brother Allen D. Noble, at the corner of Bartlett and Lake Street in Pontiac, Michigan, where thirteen additional Alpha brothers gathered to imagine a chapter dedicated to service, leadership, and lasting community impact. From that humble but historic setting, a legacy began.

Affectionately known as the “Hospitality Chapter,” Iota Rho Lambda is recognized for its welcoming spirit and strong bonds of brotherhood. The chapter advances its impact through programs such as the Black-Owned Business Initiative, which promotes Black entrepreneurship, and the Military Affairs Committee, which supports active-duty service members and veterans.

Among its proudest achievements is a steadfast commitment to education, contributing more than $300,000 in scholarships and charitable support through the R.H.O. Foundation.
