Kappa Tau

Kappa Tau was chartered on April 15, 1976, at Kansas State University by five visionary charter members, honorably known as “The 5 Great Men.” Their commitment to scholarship, leadership, and service established a foundation that has guided the chapter for five decades. Since its chartering, Kappa Tau has remained steadfast in its mission to develop leaders, uplift communities, and promote academic excellence.

The chapter has built a strong legacy through impactful and consistent programming that addresses social awareness, education, and civic engagement. Signature initiatives such as the Neak Frasty Step Show and Concert, and the Alpha Lecture Series, provide platforms for intellectual growth and critical dialogue. The annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Candlelight Vigil serves as a powerful tribute to service, unity, and social justice. As the chapter celebrates 50 years of excellence, it honors its rich history while remaining focused on purposeful leadership, brotherhood, scholarship, and service for generations to come.
