Zeta Xi Lambda
About the Chapter
Zeta Xi Lambda was chartered on January 18, 1956 in Evanston, Illinois. After a period of inactivity, a testament to our fraternity’s resilience, the chapter was re-chartered on a memorable day, September 1, 2004, in Champaign, Illinois, breathing new life into our chapter. On September 4, 2004, following a University of Illinois football tailgate party, the chapter was officially installed during a solemn installation ceremony at the Lone Star Lodge #18 Free and Accepted Masons, Prince Hall Affiliated.
The Zeta Xi Lambda chapter launched the Arthur B. Cooper Scholarship and Masterminds Mentorship Program as part of the Go-to-High School, Go-to-College National Program effort in Champaign. The chapter also boasts several prominent members including medical doctors, dentists, professors, teachers, and businessmen. Zeta Xi Lambda continues to work towards developing leaders, promoting brotherhood and academic excellence while serving their local communities.
